I thought this was the perfect quote, especially after Black Friday + the start of the holiday shopping season! I know you’re probably busy buying stuff for other people, but don’t forget to spoil your face too! 💜
Don’t scrimp on the skincare!! Live that #treatyoself life yasss 😎
That doesn’t mean you HAVE to buy $200 products… but don’t shortchange yourself either. You’ve been eyeing that $25 eye cream?? Buy it. That toner with the flower petals you’ve always wanted to splurge on….? BUY IT. Live that #yolo life… at least for skincare if nothing else. If you want the best results, you gotta put in the bucks.
Heh, sorry to be the devil on your shoulder…(not really 😏). I’m always going to be that friend you go to when you need convincing to get/buy something…. within reasonable parameters, of course. Skincare is always a reasonable purchase to me though!
I don’t mean to sound elitist… but a lot of people are just covering up their skin issues with makeup and ignoring the most important part: a clean, healthy canvas (aka your skin). The same money you spend on a luxury eyeshadow palette (which can go for $40 and up) can probably buy a decent skincare routine…. and will do so much more for your skin’s health and vitality in the long run #justsaying 🤷🏽♀️
I love makeup (I hoard it almost as much as I do skincare…), but I prefer to invest more in the care of my skin. Being an esthetician might have a bit to do with that, ahem. But I am not a fan of surgical procedures/fillers/etc so I figure investing in skincare now is my safest bet on the road to eternally great skin…. especially as I approach my mid 30’s (yikes).
I’m thinking about putting together some inexpensive routines for different skin types… let me know what you think below!!
Enjoy the rest of your week! 💜
