Hiiiieeee! Happy new year loves!! Sorry for the unannounced hiatus… Life happens and as I say on IG #sorrynotsorry. I got engaged and I’ve been getting some things together for an exciting new project so I haven’t had the time to dedicate to consistent blogging. I’ll try my best in the future to be better. I’m going to try to post at least 3x a week from now on ππΎ

Today I’m reviewing (yet another) Deciem product! I really love this company… their products are amazing! They’re priced well and acually do what they claim! What more could you ask for from a skincare brand??

Cleansers are an important part of our skincare routines. The right cleanser can literally make or break (out) your skin! Low pH cleansers are the way to go for optimal skin health IMHO. In my quest to find more awesome low pH cleansers, I purchased the Sanskrit Saponis from @deciem for $10 during their Black Friday sale last year and I’ve been using it since then. I’ve gotten a few questions about this so I finally decided to review it huzzah π

Brand claims: deep cleans pores and visibly targets all forms of build-up, blemishes, congestion and impurities while respecting skin integrity. Leaves the skin looking nearly pore-free and its surface exceptionally cleaned.
Notable Ingredients: Sapindus Mukurossi Fruit Extract (surfactant), Balanites Aegyptiaca [Desert Date] Fruit Extract (surfactant), Gypsophila Paniculata Root Extract (softens skin), Arginine antioxidant + helps build collagen production), Melanin (skin conditioning + protecting).
Formula Notes: This cleanser is pH-balanced (listed pH is 7.00-7.50) and is a beige low viscosity formula (like thinned out sour cream) in texture. The choice of housing it in a metal squeeze tube is… Interesting. I would have preferred a plastic tube, but I can understand the use of metal, being recycleable and all. Plus it really goes with that luxury brand aestetic. Yoooo… The smell of this cleanser though… It smells yeasty or like peanut butter (My friend on IG @rafaeldiacosta mentioned that it smells like peanut butter and now it’s what I usually smell). It doesn’t foam and only lathers slightly once I rub it on my face with wet hands *smirk* DON’T GET THIS IN YOUR EYES!!!!

This shit burrrnnnsss like a motherfucker #askmehowiknow ππ₯π
How I use it: it’s recommended for use once every other day AM or PM, but you can use it more frequently. I use it once a day every 2-3 days, as I’m currently cycling through a few different cleansers. I wet my face, squeeze out about a quarter sized amount, rub it between my hands and onto my face. I’ve been using it with my Luna 2 since Xmas and it works really well with it!
Do I Like it?: nope… I fucking LOVE this!!!! I really like the smell too! It leaves my face feeling soooooo soft and clean and never dry or squeaky! It cleans off sunscreen without me having to double cleanse as an added bonus. Using the Luna 2 with this really kicked it up a notch! The duo leaves my face super duper clean… exceptionally clean, indeed!! I can safely say that the brand claims I listed above are spot ππΎ fucking ππΎ on ππΎ. Between this and my Luna 2, my face had never been this clean… It’s insane π€―

Will I repurchase?: YES MA’AM!!! I really love this cleanser! It really surprised me a little bit tbh π this cleanser has been overhyped and now I can see why; it’s nice to find a cleanser that’s pH balanced, has a gentle alternative to harsh surfactants that’s naturally derived, PLUS makes my skin feel so nice π€ It completely cleans both my skin’s surface and my pores without my face feeling dry or stripped ππΎ Now, the price… $28 for 90ml is a bit out of my usual cleanser price range (it’s usually ~$10-$15) but I will definitely be reordering this anyway… Let’s hope it’ll last me until the next sale though ππΎπΈπ
